Summer 2012 leagues will be forming in Spring 2012

Youth practices begin in late May/early June at the Elma Park.

Adult league games begin in May and last through mid July, alternating between Alta Vista & Elma ball diamonds.

The bowling alley is open under new management with a new name,  "BACKWOODZ Steakhouse & Lanes".  2011 Fall pool & bowling leagues now forming!  Bowling meeting Monday, September 12th @ 7:00 p.m. for more details!  Women's Powder Puff bowling leagues  is 6:30 Tuesday evening, Men's bowling league is 7:00 p.m. Thursday evening, Couple's mixed bowling league is 7:00p.m. Friday evenings.

Open bowling on non-league times, Sunday through Saturday.  Hours are 3:00 p.m.-close, Monday through Sunday.

Elma is home to a beautiful 9-hole public golf course.  Mens Day league is every Tuesday beginning at 12:00 p.m. and Ladies Day league is on Wednesdays beginning at 2:00 p.m.  Friday nights the course offers Couples night, with a variety of unique games and meals afterwards.

The Old Roundhouse Trail is a portion of the Great Western Wapsi recreational trail, soon to be connected to the trail of the same name stretching north through Howard & Mitchell counties, through Riceville and McIntire.

The Old Roundhouse Trail segment was newly black-topped in fall 2009.

NEW!!  Elma's Old Roundhouse Trailhead & Welcome Center is now complete! It is at the north depot area, near the covered bridge in the center of town on Busti Avenue.  NEW Trailhead signage and landscaping is completed as an Eagle Scout project of Elma Boy Scout, Zach Weigel (photos posted upon completion of project).

Elma offers a Friday night youth roller skating program in late fall/early winter.   Skating will be suspended in fall/winter 2011/2012 due to the remodeling of the Elma Memorial Hall.  Please join us as skating resumes in late fall/early winter 2012/2013! 

Skating times are:  6:00-7:30 p.m. for ages 0-2nd grade
                                   7:30-9:00 p.m. 3rd grade and up

Costs are $1.00 admission, $.50 skate rental.  You may bring your own roller skates, but please NO roller blades!

Please obey the the age/grade time frames.

NOTE:  If school is cancelled due to weather or in case of extreme wind chill, skating will be cancelled for the night.
