The BRIDGE Organization, Inc. is a non-profit community betterment corporation founded in 2005 with a tax-exempt 501c3 status to assist the Elma area retaining current businesses, seeking new businesses for the community, adding services for community members and aiding other non-profit groups in their projects through mentoring and help in obtaining grant funding from outside sources.
BRIDGE stands for Building Relationships In the Development of a Greater Elma. The mission of BRIDGE is dedicated to enhancing the social and economic development of the Elma area through innovative resources, programs and partnerships.
BRIDGE has monthly meetings in the E.C.C. community room and are open to the public. Meetings are the first Tuesday of each month at 12:00 noon. The BRIDGE secretary will email meeting notices to all members as well as it will be posted on the digital sign and on the elmaia.com website calendar of events.
The marketing committee of BRIDGE maintains the Elmaia.com website, the Elma, Iowa Facebook page, answers inquiries on the ElmaIowa@gmail.com e-mail account, updates the Elma calendar of events on the website and manages the Elma BRIDGE Bucks program to promote shopping locally.
