about

Tossed & Found is a not-for-profit thrift store located conveniently on Main Street Elma, across the street from the bank. Opened in 2006, the store accepts donations of gently used items for re-sale with net proceeds then distributed to area community betterment projects through charitable grants.
The store opened in 2006, is managed by a volunteer staff, and is under the fiscal oversight of The BRIDGE Organization Inc. in a building owned by BRIDGE. To date, over $38,000 has been given back to the service areas of Elma, Alta Vista, Lourdes & Riceville for community projects through the charitable grant program with funding cycles in March and September annually.

Hours of operation are annually Tuesdays/Thursdays 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. and every other Saturday morning 8:00 a.m.-12:00 noon. Additionally, the store offers summer hours of Monday/Wednesday evenings 5:00-7:00 p.m. in the months of April-August.

Items for donation may be brought to the store during our open hours. We accept infant-adult clothing in CLEAN, non-damaged condition, housewares & dishes, toys, linens, home decor & decorative pillows, lawn decor, shoes, jewelry & giftware. Other items may taken be on a case-by-case review, but we DO NOT accept toiletries, chemicals, electronics, food items, furniture, books, cd’s/VHS tapes, automotive supplies, or building/construction supplies.

For questions, message us on our Tossed & Found Facebook page or email us below and we’ll try to reply to you promptly. There is no business phone or Internet on-site.
